Baggage full of goodies
I love being a teacher this time of year! I received so many delicious treats. The only problem is that I have all those yummy treats and not enough mouths to eat them. I decided to drag all the delicious treats home. Yep...I carefully packed them in my suitcase and gave them to my appreciative parents. My dad nearly devoured them in less than 24 hours.
I've decided to keep a log of funny quotes from my students. I now have a small notepad next to my desk where I quickly jot them down after class. It would probably help if you knew the children, but I find them hilarious...
This quote was in response to me eating some of my goodies in front of them while they were doing their bell work on Thursday. They tell me that I'm torching them, but I just say "go to college for four years and become a teacher and then you can eat food in front of your students". They think it's funny.
"Ms. G, you're addicted to chocolate!"
Finally, my coworkers make so much fun of my driving. Yes, I do drive a sports car, but I'm don't want to get a ticket. Driving way over the speed limit isn't an option for me. Anyways, one day my coworker Audilett told her homeroom class that I drive really slow. For some reason the kids were talking about cars.
"Ms. G, Ms. Audilett says you drive like a grandma!" "Don't you know that you can get a ticket for driving too slow." :)
